Addressing gender and climate action together maximizes positive impacts, creates opportunities for integrated social and environmental transformation, and strengthens the path toward a truly inclusive regenerative economy.
CHALLENGE: Lack of access to credit, tools, and agency, while at the same time they are the majority in socio-bioeconomy activities and circular economy cooperatives.
Less than 2% of philanthropy is allocated to serving women and girls.
Less than 3% of private equity capital goes to companies founded by women.
There is a 22% salary gap in management positions in Brazil, with a 40% gap among Black women.

The W+ standard is an independent and internationally recognized standard, established by WOCAN in 2014. It received the UNFCCC Woman for Results award and was endorsed by them, along with these organizations:






W+ Domains

Capital allocated to projects
Interventions in 1 or more domains of W+
Generation of W+ units, quantifiable and secured by a third party and deposited in the S&P Market Registry.
20% of the sales go directly back to the women.
